Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her support and commitment to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) providers through an engagement with the company's senior administrators in a strategic arranging session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled inside the 2024 matric exams.
From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% of the registered pupils during the instruction sector.
These learners realized a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This indicates that the financial investment national government is producing within the life of very poor and vulnerable small children is yielding a positive effects in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe claimed.

On top of that, the Minister highlighted the necessity for Local community-based engagements here and outreach pursuits.
"Our community is watching for our immense intensification of Local community outreach, where we prioritise sassa status check underserved parts to bring expert services nearer to our individuals," she reiterated.
With regards to SASSA programs, Tolashe urged here administration to prioritise enhancing and modernising programs to further improve accessibility, queue management and stop fraud.
Also, the Minister has asked for SASSA Acting CEO, Themba Matlou, to supply a system that seeks to take care of the difficulties of payment channels in rural regions by giving another Answer for payments.
